Fine Art Studio

I have the privilege of being both an artist and instructor; yet I feel that I
become a student each day I approach my blank canvas. While I
continue to learn, explore and develop my ideas, I try to challenge
myself to go beyond what is comfortable.

My approach to art is straightforward; I paint what speaks to my soul,
whether it’s the rhythmic patterns of rolling hillsides, a person’s
expression, or the beauty of an ordinary object.  My artistic styles are
diverse, dependent upon each subject matter and the mood I hope to
convey. I purposefully explore various media to keep my creativity
invigorated.  My latest media of choice have been oil paints and oil
pastels.  My use of vibrant color indicates that I am a "colorist" at heart.

I have been honored to receive awards in international, national and
local exhibitions. My work can be seen throughout private, public and
corporate collections throughout several southern states.
